How to Find Free Hip Hop Instrumentals

If you are a brand new artist or or an artist that is just short on funds right now, you probably are not very interested to buy instrumentals. Instead you are probably scratching your head wondering where you can get some free beats. We can all go out and get ourselves some jacked industry beats from the last jay z or eminem album, but who really wants to do that? If you are on the search for free beats then there are a few options I will show you so you can start looking immediately.

The first spot to check is youtube. Just search for free rap beats or free hip hop beats and you will have thousands of results with beats and download links to look into. The second and most obvious place to go is to do a search in google looking for free beats and once again you will hae thousands of sites to search through, You may find that you have more difficulty here though in trying to actually find the free beats to download. The third spot that you should look into are hip hop forums across the net. If you do a search in google for the following, “rap forum” + “free beats” , then you should come up with another group of sites to check out for free beats. The other good part of searching in the forums is that you can engage in direct contact with the producer as well as post your fnished track.

Now I don’t want to discourage you but here are a few downsides to using free rap beats. First and foremost the biggest problem is that there most likely are thousands of other artists that have downloaded and used the same exact beat. Secondly you need to see if there is a disclaimer or agreement you are supposed to follow. Based on the producers agreement, the beat may be free for you to use but you may not be able to sell the beat without the producers consent or without then purchasing a lease agreement to get the selling rights. The third thing to be on the lookout for is if the free beats are sampled beats. Now we all love sampled hip hop beats but you must remember that if there are samples in the beats you are using then you need to get sample clearance or the producer needs to get sample clearance in order for you to legally use the beat and sell it.

How to Find Hip Hop Instrumentals on Youtube

One of the best locations for artists to find hot Hip Hop Instrumentals recently has become Youtube.com. There are a number of producers posting their work on youtube for all to hear. If you are in need of beats use the following search terms in youtube to locate some producers that you can not only hear their work ut also see them at work. Search for the following:

rap instrumentals, instrumental beats, free rap beats, rap beats, hip hop beats, making a beat, hot beats, making a beat in the studio, watch me make a beat.

If you give those search terms a chance as well as be creative on your end to come up with more search terms you should be able to find almost an endless supply of hip hop beats to work with. Once of the best aspects of this method is being able to see the producer in action and see how they work to structure and make their music.

Start Producing with Simple Drum Beats

If you are an aspiring hip hop producer looking to make instrumentals for artists that want to buy rap beats but are just starting out then here are a few quick tips for you to consider. First off you need to most importantly learn to feel the beat. What do I mean when I say you need to feel the beat? You need to learn about how a normal song is structured before you can start producing. Instro’s, verses, chorus, and bridges are all essential to understanding how to put your track together and know when youneed to add a drop or a break. The amount of bars in a verse compared to a hook and so on. The best way I have found to achieve this is by getting yourself a program called fl studio (fruity loops) This is a user friendly production software that is very user friendly for the basics. You can point and click in a sequencer to add drum sounds to your track and preset the anmount of beats and bars for each sequence. So if you are starting out make sure you study.. study.. study industry hip hop songs to understand how other producers approach the process and get yourself a copy of fl studio and start to feel the beat.

Lil Wayne and Rick Ross Style Beats

Have you been listening to the latest hits from Lil Wayne and Rock Ross such as “Hustle Hard” and “John Lennnon” and said to yourself ” I need to get some Rick Ross and Lil Wayne beats“? Most artists nowadays strive to be and make songs like Lil Wayne and Rick Ross. They are two of the most influential atists in the game right now. If you want to hear a beat that goes hard like the ones they tend to rap on then follow the lil wayne beats link to a youtube video that is a hip hop beat very similar to the beats that go hard that these artists use. Make sure to subscribe to the youtube page as well because many more beats similar to this one as well as many other style are uploaded regularly for you to listen to and are available for you to get to add to your album or mixtape.

Instrumentals of Your Style

Do you know what your rap style is? Are you a new school biggie or the next new star like Drake or J Cole? Or are you the next original to cultivate your own style that everyone after you will try and copy. Take Drake for example. Almost all the instrumentals that he raps on include a low pass filtered beat. Wether it be the just the drums or the whole beat he uses this effect very often and has become a staple of his music. What is it that you are going to make your staple. Can you possible find a new effect to add to your instrumentals or even your vocals that set you apart from everyone else? How about breaking the status quo and switching up the typical hook, verse, bridge line up. In the next track you record where you have access to the producer or to the tracked out version of the beat why don’t you try something a little different and see what you can come up with.

Lost in a Sea of Beats?

Have you been spending countless nights chasing down your next big hit? Wading thought a never ending supply of rap beats from hundreds of different sites all over the internet. Beats from America.. beats from germany.. beats from britain. It seems like there are now more producers than artists. Don’t let this discourage you. Instead, use this new aspect of the new beat industry to your advantage. This will give you options as well as well as various styles to choose from. If you try to use only one producer to make most of your beats for your mixtapes or albums listeners can tend to get bored becuase most producers have a certain style that transcends though the music they produce. Not that that producer is not talented but most of the time from an artist viewpoint you tend to expand your styles, deliveries, and flows when you have various style beats from a number of producers. Just take your time and find the right beats for your album.
